ok bc this was inevitable lets get a few things cleared up.
1. “kpopkfans said this info [that the article said ‘celebrity’ and not ‘idol’] isn’t correct. [what is correct] -> "21 minutes ago -I just checked The Fact article and it clearly says ‘hallyu star’ from the summoned idols. It doesn’t say 'celebrities’. The article is not edited. It’s 'hallyu star idol’.””
2. about using ji’s picture - korean news agencies will do things for hits, it’s happened before when there was this car accident and the news used a blurred out photo of a female idol when it was a completely different person related to it – the photo now has been removed both from the original source and koreaboo article
3. in cases like these, it’s inevitable that people are going to think that ji was somehow involved in this (given his past history - even if it was 3 years ago, netizens don’t like to let go of mistakes made by idols) - there isn’t much you can do by being overly defensive. yes it is frustrating but people do have relevant reasons for thinking it’s ji (or e-sens). just don’t think that they’re bringing up ji’s name out of nowhere or just for hits or w/e
after all the drama that’s been happening, yes another possible scandal/accusation like this is annoying and frustrating and as fans we don’t want our faves to suffer even more but let’s make sure to think about this at least mostly objectively
