ok about the seungri wearing the native american headdress, it is cultural appropriation and whether or not it is influenced by the western media’s appropriation of it first, the blame from seungri is not completely taken away and don’t try to take it away. yes bigbang has stylists but let’s be frank, they do have a lot of their own opinions mixed in with their styling. seungri culturally appropriated the headdresses and what we should do, instead of trying to put blame on others, is rather to tell seungri nicely about it and make him understand why it was wrong to wear it and the significance behind it. yes you can go on and on about how ‘oh the western media and we all have been doing it for so long, we should talk about that!!! we’re the root of this problem we can’t blame it all on seungri!!!’ but honestly what will you get with just talking about changing the big picture of it?

keep in mind that bigger changes happen with smaller steps leading up to it, educate seungri about this - bigbang is becoming more and more internationally known, and we, as their fans, should at least help it be as less problematic as it can be and help bigbang stay knowledgeable about these issues. yes it may not be a discussed issue in sk but they’re becoming more internationally known and learning and respecting other cultures is a part of all of this. so lets make sure that seungri at least knows why the native american headdress thing was wrong and why its not something to be worn to look ‘cool’ or anything. let’s explain it to him in nicer words instead of jumping on the hate bandwagon. don’t spread hate so immediately because then you take away the possibility of a person losing their ignorance about these issues. be nice and try to make them understand.
